The Directorate has Transferred 7 Superintending Archaeologists vide Office Order No. 87/2012-Adm-I dated 31.03.2012. The Office Order is posted herewith for information to the Members.

Rate of GPF/CPF increased w.e.f. December 2011

I am very much happy to inform you all that Government has increased the Interest rates of General / Contributory Provident Funds from 8% to 8.6 % w.e.f. 1st December 2012. the resolution issued in this regard for publishing in the Gazette of India is posted herewith for information to the members.

Dr. D. Dayalan, S.A promoted as Director (Archaeology)

Dr. D. Dayalan Superintending Archaeologist, A.S.I., Aurangabad Circle is being promoted as Director (Archaeology) and posted at ASI Headquarters, New Delhi with additional charge of Aurangabad Circle vide letter No. F.No. 2-8/2011-Adm.I dated 14.03.2012. 2 Deputy Superintending Archaeologists were promoted as Superintending Archaeologists vide Letter No. F. No. 2-9/2011-Adm.I dated 16.03.2012. Office Order issued in this regard is posted herewith for information to the members.

Shri. P.B.S. Sengar, Regional Director (North), New Delhi has been transferred and posted as Director (Monuments) vide letter No. F. NO. 3-2/2011-Adm-I dated 22.03.2012. Office Order Issued in this regard is posted herewith for information to the members.

5 Deputy Superintending Archaeologists were elevated to the post of Superintending Archaeologists. On behalf of this Association and on my own behalf congratulate the Promotees on assuming the Prestigious Post of Superintending Archaeologist and requested to extend their fullest co-operation and support to this association in carrying out the welfare activities of its members.
