Dear Friends,
I am very much pleased to inform you all that as per the decision of the C.W.C., Combined Unit, Saranath viz., Museum Unit, Saranath, Patna, Jaunpur, Kusinagar Sub-Units and Museum Unit, Vaishali have come forward to host the 26th ALL INDIA CONVENTION of AIASA at SARANATH (U.P) on 16TH AND 17TH April 2011 (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY).
All the CWC Members, Unit Secretaries, UWC Office bearers and Members of this Recognized Association are requested to make it convenient to attend the ensuing CWC meeting in large numbers and make the function a Grand Success. All the Office bearers are requested to give wide publicity of this Notification well in advance so as to enable the members to take part in the Meeting.

The C.W.C. Meeting will be held in a spacious area adjacent to A.S.I. complex at Saranath. The delegates are requested to reach the venue well in advance & latest by evening of 15.04.2011. The Host units are making elaborate arrangements for the ensuing convention to make it a Historic and Memorable one.
How to Reach: Saranath is one of the famous Tourist place. Delegates traveling by Rail can get down at Varanasi Cantonment Railway Station which is about 10 Kms from Saranath. Mughal Sarai is one of the Biggest Railway junction and is about 17 Kms from Saranath. 5-8 Seater Autorickshaws will be plying from both Railway Stations.
Places of Interest: Saranath itself is best known as an important Buddhist Site. Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, Manas Mandir, Sankat Vimochan Mandir, Kalabhairav Mandir, Bharat Mata Mandir, Banaras Hindu University, Man Mahal, Holy Ganga River Aarti at River Ghat at Varanasi (10 Kms from Saranath), Holy Piligrimage City Allahabad (125 Kms), Vindhyachal (Maa Bindvasini/Ashta bhuji Kalika Mandir), (70 Kms), Chunar Fort enroute to Vindhyachal, Shahi-Quila (Jaunpur Fort), Atal Masjid, Jamia Masjid (70 Kms) and Ramnagar Fort (30 Kms) are worth to be seen. Archaeological Museum, Saranath known for its better and systematic display is also worth to be seen.
Climate: The climate at Saranath during April will be moderate Summer. The Delegates & members are advised to bring light luggage along with them. Necessary lodging facilities for the delegates are made near Museum Complex at Saranath.

As computerized rail tickets booking are available in most parts of the country, the Members and Delegates are requested to reserve their Onward and Return rail journey tickets on their own.
All the Unit Secretaries are requested to bring Xerox copies of the Notification of Approval of the Secretary General in respect of the U.W.C. and concerned Sub-Units without fail. It would also be highly appreciated if the Unit Secretaries intimate the Number of Participants and Delegates for the 26th A.I.C. to the Secretary General immediately.
Resolutions: It is hereby informed to all those who wish to move resolution on various issues should send the same to the Secretary General well in advance or bring the same to the venue so that it can be adopted after discussions.
Audit of Accounts: All the Unit Secretaries are hereby requested to furnish the Cash Book, Receipt & Expenditure, together with the Vouchers etc., to Sri C.M.Pillai, Internal Auditor, AIASA and get their Unit accounts duly audited without fail.
High Dignitaries: I am very much pleased to inform you all that Dr. Gautam Sengupta, Director General, A.S.I has kindly consented to Inaugurate the 26th AIC. Dr. D.V. Sharma, Regional Director (E.R), Dr Sanjay Kumar Manjul, Suptdg. Archaeologist, A.S.I., Patna Circle, Shri Ajay Srivastava, Dy.S.A., Museums Branch, Eastern Region Saranath and many More Dignitaries are taking part in the inaugural session of the ensuing All India Convention.
Late Dr S.N. Raghunath Memorial Parent of the Meritorious Student Award: The members are well aware that in the 25th AIC, one Sri L.R. Sudheendra Rao, JCM Member, Bangalore Circle Unit has deposited a sum of Rs. 10,000/- and requested to honour the Parent of the Meritorious Student Award in the name of Late Dr S.N. Raghunath, Founder Secretary General of ASA in all the AIC. Hence, it is hereby informed that the Parents (bonafide Members of ASA) are requested to submit applications furnishing therein the name of the Merit Students , Number of Marks Secured in the S.S.L.C. Examination (Attested copy of the Marks Card in proof) held during the year 2008-09 and 2009-10 and should be sent to the Secretary General, AIASA, Srirangapatna latest by 20th March 2011. All the CWC Members/Unit Secretaries are requested to give wide publicity among the members and send the same well before the due date. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
I, therefore, make a fervent appeal among all the members to exhibit STRONG UNITY & SOLIDARITY by participating in the AIC meeting in large numbers to make it a historic and memorable one.
