I am very much pleased to inform you all that as per the decision of the C.W.C., Circle unit and Museum Unit, Goa have come forward to host the 2nd “Central Working Committee” Meeting of AIASA at Old Goa (Goa) on 7th August 2010 (SATURDAY).
All the CWC Members, Unit Secretaries, UWC Office bearers and Members of this recognized association are requested to make it convenient to attend the ensuing CWC meeting in large numbers and make the function a Grand Success. All the Office bearers are requested to give wide publicity of this Notification well in advance so as to enable the members to take part in the Meeting.

The C.W.C. Meeting will be held in a spacious area within the A.S.I. complex at Old Goa. The delegates are requested to reach the venue well in advance & latest by evening of 06.08.2010. The Host units are making elaborate arrangements for the ensuing convention to make it a historic one.
How to Reach: Panaji is the capital city of Goa. Delegates travelling by Rail via Mumbai can get down at Karmali Railway Station which is just 2 Kms to reach Old Goa. Vasco-da-gama and Margoa Railway Station is about 32 Kms to Old Goa. The Venue is about 10 Kms from Panaji Bus Stand and number of Bus services ply to Panaji from nearby States.
Places of Interest: Goa is best known as a Tourist Paradise, famed for its beautiful Beaches, Portuguese Churches and its cuisine. It was the capital of Portuguese during 16th Century. Old Goa strives on its majestic, grand and amazingly numerous Churches. Bom Jesus Basilica Church is a fine example of Jesuit Architecture, the most precious relic of the Church is the remains of St. Francis Xavier. Ancient and Historic Temples, Cathedrals, Palaces, Forts, beautiful gardens etc., are some of the other attractions in Goa. There are many places of historic interests includes the famous St. Augustin Tower which can be visited from Panaji and Goa. Archaeological Museum, Goa known for its better and systematic display is also worth to be seen.
Climate: The climate at Goa during August will be raining & members are advised to bring Umbrella along with them. Necessary lodging facilities for the delegates are made at A.S.I. Complex, Old Goa.

Resolutions: It is hereby informed to all those who wish to move resolution on various issues should send the same to the Secretary General well in advance or bring the same to the venue so that it can be adopted after discussions.
Audit of Accounts: All the Unit Secretaries are hereby requested to furnish the Cash Book, Receipt & Expenditure, together with the Vouchers etc., to Sri C.M.Pillai, Internal Auditor, AIASA and get their Unit accounts duly audited without fail.
High Dignitaries: I am pleased to inform you all that Dr. Gautam Sengupta, Director General, A.S.I has kindly consented to Inaugurate the C.W.C. Meeting. Many More Dignitaries are expected to take part in the inaugural session of the ensuing Central Working Committee Meeting.
Cash Award to Meritorious Students: The members are aware that as already published in my earlier Newsletter, applications are invited from members up to 10.07.2010 for considering cash award to the merit students of our members. They are requested to give wide publicity among all the members and send the same well before the due date.
Cash awards to merit students of our members who have secured the highest marks in the II PUC/12th Std. are invited from members. Applicants should furnish their 1. Name & Address, Name of child, 3. Year of Passing, 4. Name of Unit, 5. Signature of applicant. (Students who have passed the II PUC/12th Std during the academic year 2008-09 & 2009-10 are eligible to apply). A copy of the Attested Marks Card / Marks List should be enclosed along with the application.
I, therefore, make a fervent appeal among all the members to exhibit STRONG UNITY & SOLIDARITY by participating in the CWC meeting in large numbers.
